The Okavango Delta is well-known for the beauty of its landscape. It is also famous for a diverse range of mammals. I decided to attempt to capture, the transition from static to dynamic, the aerial animation of the Okavango Delta landscape and sky.

This animation takes form in vivid colours, elegant gliding, precision diving and familial movement. It is a movement that can be seen in the stillness of the morning, and peace of the evening. Each moment having a character all of its own.

I had the opportunity to visit the Jao Camp, in the Okavango Delta. Between a game-drive and my walks around the camp, I had to capture every opportunity of birds animating the landscape.

My limitation of being able to explore any distance or length of time, gave me focus on how these movement are happening all around the Delta, and that you can experience them on a quiet moment, in almost any place.
